La Cova Tallada Paddle Surf
As you well know, the Cova Tallada is a really curious spot located on the Costa Blanca, in the town of Denia. Mountain and sea united to leave us a gift that we can now enjoy and respect. And what is it like to experience the Cova Tallada on Paddle surf? Well, another way to reach it and be able to go in more comfortably without so much weight. We tell you how to enjoy this experience by paddle surfing.
How to get to the Cova Tallada in Paddle Surf
Doing the sea route to the Cova Tallada by paddle surf is an activity that we highly recommend for summer days. Combining the Cova Tallada and paddle surfing can be really fun (and, if you don’t have too much balance, refreshing) until you get into the cave itself, which will go from being fun to being amazing, and not for nothing. To be able to do this Paddle surfing route we recommend that you park your car as close as possible to the spot, and that is in the Cala de les Arenetes. Here we recommend that you arrive early to be able to park. From here you can take your board and paddle and go down the access to the sea that has about 20 or 30 metres of rocky platform, so we warn you that it would be ideal to wear booties to enter more comfortably.
Once inside, you can start your quiet route to enjoy the coast of Denia. The route to the Cova Tallada by Paddle Surf starts with a view of the Torre del Gerro, an old watchtower in the shape of a vase. Immediately below you will find the naturist beach of “Aigua Dolça”. You will only have to continue paddling for almost a kilometre until you reach the largest gallery, the Cova Tallada.
The advantages of paddle surfing to the Cova Tallada is that access will be easy, as the mobility you have with the paddle thanks to its light weight, will be easier than with a kayak.
Go to the Cova Tallada on Paddle surf with access permit
Remember that a few years ago access was limited so that the area would not become so crowded, as it is a very attractive and well-known spot. It seems silly but this is very much appreciated, as this way you can enjoy this magical place in peace and quiet. Each visit is limited to an hour and a half, but you have more than enough time to enjoy and contemplate the rock formations over the sea. Therefore, we remind you to ask for permission to access the Cova Tallada before paddle surfing.
Apart from the main gallery of the cave, there are also areas that you can explore with the help of a torch, as sunlight does not reach its depths. Are you up for a Paddle Surf route to the Cova Tallada?
